PLEASE NOTE: All talent must have valid work documents and will be asked to fill out a w-4/I-9 upon arrival to set.  In order to fill out the necessary documentation, you must be legal to work in the United States and must have a valid work document as well as Social Security number.

FAQ’S:

Q: HOW DO I GET PAID?
A: All payroll is handled through your individual production by way of outside payroll companies like Entertainment Partners, CAPS, Sessions, and Elevate Payroll. (There are many other companies that handle entertainment payroll as well). You will fill out a W4 and I9 while you are on set as part fo your Voucher.

Q: WHAT IS A VOUCHER?
A: Vouchers are the method that production companies use to keep track of Background Talent Payroll. These documents have areas for Employee Information, Rates of Pay, Adjustments and much more. 

Q: WHAT IS NEEDED FOR A VOUCHER?
A: Talent will be required to fill out certain forms and information pertinent to getting you (the talent) paid for work. Information that is needed:  Full Legal Name, Full Legal Address, Contact Number/Email, Social Security Number, and some additional info that varies by voucher. You will also be required to fill out a W4 and I9 for your first day on every production or new season of a television series.

Q: WHAT IS A W4 and I9?
A: A W4 and I9 are legal documents required by the government in order to pay an employee. These documents will ask for a Legal Name, Address, and Legal Forms of Identification. These forms of ID are required and should be with you at all times when working on a project. Proper ID’s: Passport, Drivers License, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, etc. Please find a link to a digital version of the documents If you fill this out ahead of time it will make the process much smoother on set.

Q: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET PAID?
A: Payment typically takes between 7 and 10 Business Days. Please remember that Business Days are Monday – Friday and does not include weekends.

Q: WHY HAVEN’T I RECEIVED PAYMENT YET?
A: We, as the casting company, do not handle your payroll! If you have not been payed yet please be sure to contact the payroll company first as they will be able to give you all your payment information. If, after you contact the payroll company, they say they do not have your voucher then please send us an email, and we can look into your payment. Be sure when you contact us you have your date of work, copy of your voucher, and role you were booked as.

Q: HOW DO I CONTACT THE PAYROLL COMPANY?
A: The Payroll Company is always listed on your voucher. Please note it when you check in. Upon wrap for your day the PA should return the “Pink Slip” Copy of your voucher that will have the payroll company info on it. If you have the name of the company pleas search for them and the companies will have a guide on how to contact them on their website as well.
